Blanca Padel was born out of one man's passion, a bit of frustration, and more than a little sweat.
Our founder, Andrew Won, a washed-up college tennis player who traded racquet sports but never quite shed his competitive edge, stumbled into padel in 2022. He quickly became a regular on the padel courts of San Diego, playing with a crew of fellow addicts who shared his love for the game—and his disbelief at the price of basic padel gear.

Unaffordable gear and limited options
Why was a can of padel balls, which are pretty much tennis balls with a slightly lower PSI, suddenly costing triple the price? Why was a padel racquet so hard to find in the US and at a price point of upwards of $400USD, more than double the retail price of the 'premium' tennis racquets in the market. It didn’t make sense.

Blanca Padel
So, Andrew did what any self-respecting recreational athlete with a background in supply chain management/manufacturing would do — he stepped in to solve the problem. Blanca Padel emerged to fill a gap in the U.S. market for quality, affordable padel gear with a minimalist aesthetic, an aesthetic that consumers actually wanted. We’re here to make gear that looks as sharp as it performs, without the nonsense.

At Blanca, we’re not about flash or hype. We’re about the game. Our equipment is designed to be functional and cool but doesn’t need to shout. We’re for the players who prefer style in subtlety, and we’re bringing an accessible lineup that doesn’t compromise on quality.
